Baroque Bangkok

So jerro and I had the day off and we decided to go out and shoot some photographs. Walking around Jerro noticed there seems to be a Baroque subtext to many of the gates in this part of town. He was wondering if this meant there had been a secret invasion of Bangkok from Florence in the late 16th century. There seems to be a definite passion for blue, black and gold gilt.
